Rotorua Community Hospice were thrilled to be honoured with TWO awards at the Tompkins Wake Rotorua Business Awards.
The team won the Osbornes Funeral Directors Not for Profit & Social Enterprise category and the prestigious Rotorua Lakes Council Outstanding Contribution to Rotorua award.
It was overwhelming for our team to be acknowledged and to see the respect and value our organisation has in our community.
Our CEO, Jonathon Hagger said of the win, “These awards, while given to Rotorua Community Hospice, are actually for anyone and everyone in Rotorua. Everyone who contributes in work paid and unpaid, clinical and retail, dancers and companions in homes, sponsors and funders, trustees and cleaners. We could not provide the services we do to Rotorua without the help of every single person who gives to us in ways both big and small.
These awards also honour the people who have gone before us and who have gotten us to where we are today. And the awards also provide a benchmark for the future as a reminder to ‘stick to our knitting’ and keep the main thing the main thing. That is patients, whānau and family.”
Thank you to all our supporters, for their contribution to the success of Rotorua Community Hospice. Our success means we can continue to provide a free palliative care service to anyone with a life-limiting illness in Rotorua, as soon as they need it.
