Palliative Care for Family, Whānau & Friend Carers

These sessions are designed for people caring for someone under Hospice care.

These sessions are designed for people caring for someone under Hospice care.

Often people caring for someone in their home find themselves wanting to know more about how to care for them. These interactive sessions have been designed to help build knowledge.

Topics include:

Hospice and palliative care services and resources

The circle of care

Riding the emotional roller coaster

Practical/family matters

Life after your loved one’s death

This programme is run in two parts over consecutive weeks.

Any family, whānau or friends involved in the care of a person under the care of Hospice are welcome to join the workshops.

The workshops will be held at Rotorua Community Hospice, 1469 Hinemoa Street, Rotorua from 1.00pm – 4.00pm on the following Thursdays:

February 20th (Part 1) & February 27th (Part 2)

May 22nd (NB this is a full day workshop) – 9.00am – 4.00pm 

August 21st (Part 1) & August 28th (Part 2)

November 20th (Part 1) & November 27th (Part 2)

Cost: Free of charge.
