This Syringe Driver Awareness course for Health Care Assistants includes online learning, reflection activities, and a practical workshop. It’s designed for healthcare workers who support people receiving palliative care—whether in aged care, at home, in hospital, or in hospice. It’s a valuable tool for your healthcare skill set and supports your continued learning.
This course has two parts:
- Online learning – You need to finish the online learning before coming to the workshop. The online learning will be recorded in your verified record of learning.
- A practical workshop – This will be held at your local hospice or place of work. A certificate is available from your facilitator when you have completed the workshop session.

Practical workshops will be held at Rotorua Community Hospice, 1469 Hinemoa Street, Rotorua, from 0930-1030 on the following Thursdays:

- 29th October
