We know most of you come to Harcourts Dancing for Hospice to watch but we think there must be dancers in all of you! With the event cancelled this year, you can ‘Have a go for Hospice’ to have some fun during isolation, entertain your friends and raise vital funds for Hospice!
We’re sure you’ve all got some friends and family that are willing to part with a few dollars to see you dance – what better way to support Rotorua Hospice?
- Choose a dance routine to learn
- Set up a fundraising page on Everyday Hero.
- If you reach your target, host a virtual party to show your supporters your new moves!
We’ve chosen two of our favourite routines but feel free to choose your own too. You can do this solo, with a partner, or with anyone in your bubble.
Set up your fundraising page on Everyday Hero.
Hit the orange ‘Join Team’ button and set up your page. You’ll need to add a profile picture and write a short blurb about why you’re taking part.
Choose a fundraising target – remember if you hit your target, you’ll need to show your supporters your dance routine. Make it challenging but achievable!
If you reach your target, host a virtual party to show your supporters your new moves!
See the poster below for our top tips on fundraising – follow these and you’ll hit your target in no time. Don’t forget to give people a date when you need to raise it by (we recommend before the end of lockdown).
If you reach your fundraising target, host a virtual party to show them your new dance moves. Choose a date, send out an invite and make sure you have a beverage on hand to toast your supporters. There are loads of available platforms to host your party such as Zoom, House Party, or Facebook group chats. Get in touch if you need help.
