This week is Hospice Awareness Week (16-22 May 2022). There is a stigma around Hospice care and we want to make sure that anyone with a life-limiting illness knows they can be supported by our clinical team at any time in their journey. By learning about our service early our team is able to support you longer to live every moment.
There are many ways you can help Rotorua Community Hospice this Hospice Awareness Week –
- Share our stories – this week we are sharing Hospice stories of our staff, volunteers, and others who have been helped by Hospice. By sharing our stories on Facebook you help us inform our community.
- Share your own story – if you have a Hospice story to share we would love to hear from you. Every story has a unique point of view, that might be more relatable to some people.
- Sign up to volunteer – this week you will hear from volunteers who support Hospice with their time and expertise. If you would like more information you can check it out here.
- Join Seeds of Support – our regular giving programme. Joining Seeds of Support is one of the most powerful and effective ways you can support Rotorua Hospice in ensuring everyone with a life-limiting illness receives the specialist care and support they need. It allows us to plan ahead, budget effectively, and fund our nurses, health care assistants, and social worker to provide the care our patients need. You can join by completing the form below.
